Candida Caused Diseases

Candidiasis or Candida Albicans overgrowth causes poor intestinal flora which can contribute to anxiety & depression.

There is a strong relationship between what grows in the intestines and Arthritis. There is even a “Candida Arthritis", where they find fungus in the joints. Candida Arthritis is treated by administering systemic antifungals and by injecting antifungals into the fungus infected joints.

70% or more of the immune system begins in the intestines. The same immune components that are important in Asthma also play a big role in intestinal inflammation or Colitis and food allergies. So logically, one could look for a connection between Asthma and what is happening in the gut. Fungus may also stimulate Asthma.

Yeast Syndrome has a strong connection to Attention Deficit. However, it isn’t only intestinal yeast or Candida Albicans that contribute to Attention Deficit. Intestinal bacteria may be an even bigger factor when investigating Attention Deficit.

80% to 90% of children with Autism have abnormal levels of bacteria or fungal metabolites in their urine. However, it isn’t just the toxins from bacteria and yeast that interfere with cognition in Autism and Attention Deficit. The changes in the immune system caused by unbalanced intestinal flora also interfere with memory and learning. Some of these same immune changes can cause central hypothyroidism, which is often found in Autism.

Brain fog is a very common complaint among those suffering from the yeast syndrome. Several things associated with poor intestinal flora can make it difficult to concentrate (brain fog). Fungus (Candida Albicans) die-off may be primarily responsible for brain fog.

Carpal Tunnel is much more prevalent in those who have candida overgrowth in their intestines. Biotin, B6, MSM, thyroid hormone and serrapeptase have been found helpful in the treatment of Carpal Tunnel. Candidiasis may be related to Tendonitis and Carpal Tunnel.

Frequent colds and flu can also be due to low thyroid function. Low thyroid function can be induced by Candidiasis.

There are several ways that poor intestinal flora can lead to constipation, diarrhea or Colitis. A high potency probiotic can keep Crohn’s and Colitis in remission. Studies were done with VSL probiotics.

Poor intestinal flora can contribute to depression by altering the immune system. Let’s examine this relationship a bit closer.

Dysbiosis means there is too much yeast, harmful bacteria, viruses or parasites in the intestines. Dysbiosis does more than interfere with digestion. Dysbiosis makes you tired. It alters your immune system. It upsets your hormonal balance. It can even make it difficult for you to think clearly. Dysbiosis can cause anxiety, depression or mood swings. Dysbiosis can affect almost every aspect of health.

There are many ways that Candidiasis can contribute to fatigue and chronic fatigue.

Mark Pimentel, MD, discovered that people with fibromyalgia have a significant amount of bacterial overgrowth in their small intestine.

Food allergies and delayed sensitivities to food are very common when there is candida overgrowth. This is caused by increased permeability of the intestines ... leaky gut.

Hives and eczema are caused by mast cells dumping histamine into the skin’s blood vessels. This may be in response to allergies or chemicals. Poor gut flora tend to increase the number or allergies and chemical sensitivities that people have.

There are quite a few mechanisms by which Candidiasis can contribute to hypoglycemia.

Low thyroid function or hypothyroidism is often present when there is poor intestinal flora.

Improving intestinal flora can gradually help a person get better sleep. Excess ammonia, excess histamine, food allergies, low magnesium, and immune system changes are all associated with Candidiasis and they may contribute to the sleep problem.

If you have bladder pain, but no urinary infection, then you might have interstitial cystitis, which is also known as Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome, CPPS.

Yeast secrete an enzyme that digests the lining of the intestines.

Leaky gut is a common term for increased intestinal permeability. Larger molecules cross the gut barrier and increase the toxic load on the body. It also sets up the body for acquisition of food allergies and sensitivities. Toxins produced by poor intestinal flora can cause leaky gut. Polyunsaturated oils, pesticides, and heavy metals also help set up leaky gut.

In order to understand how intestinal flora can cause a migraine, you have to first understand a little of the mechanics of migraines. A migraine starts with a clumping of platelets, and a release of serotonin from the platelets.

People with Candidiasis, fibromyalgia or multiple chemical sensitivity are more likely than others to have a heart condition called mitral valve prolapse. In fact, Leo Galland found that almost half of those being treated for chronic Candida albicans infections also had mitral valve prolapse.

If PMS occurs during the later two weeks of the cycle, there is usually too much estrogen compared to progesterone during this part of the cycle. In this case, people often suggest zinc, B6 and natural progesterone to relieve symptoms. If PMS occurs during the first two weeks of the cycle, it is dubbed “reverse PMS” and will sometimes respond to a small amount of estrogen.

Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms that promote the health of the gastrointestinal tract. Lactobacillus L. acidophilus is one of the better-known probiotic bacteria that most of us will recognize as being used in yogurt. However, there are many different kinds of probiotic bacteria with odd sounding names like Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus casei, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium longum, and Streptococcus thermophilus. When in the gastrointestinal tract, these beneficial bacteria create B vitamins for us and help us digest our food. They also interact with our immune system. When we have the wrong bacteria in our intestines, it is a strain on our immune system, our nutrition, and on our detoxification system.

Prostatitis is an inflamed prostate. Most of the time, the inflammation is not due to an infection. Most of the time, there is pain. However, sometimes there is a misdiagnosis, and the pain is actually a referral pain due to an irritated bladder.

Sinus and ear infections are more frequent when a person has Candidiasis. This is partly due to the increased incidence of food allergies associated with poor intestinal flora.

CLINICAL SYMPTOMS

  • Oxygen-carrying red blood cells are rigid and stiff when compared to patients without candida
  • Fatigue
  • Carbohydrate craving
  • Topical infections of fingernails, vaginal infections, underarm infections
  • White coated tongue
  • Increased allergic symptoms
  • Reduced thyroid function
  • Lowered immune system and increased susceptibility to viral infections
  • T-cell helper/suppressor ratios radically lowered
  • Staphylococcus danger increases as much as 1000,000 times
  • Up to 3/4 of the lymphocytes become paralyzed
  • It produces the chemical toxin acetaldehyde - the precursor of ethyl alcohol and the first by-product of alcohol's oxidation. This toxin depresses the citric acid cycle (by which the body produces energy from food) and disrupts collagen production and fatty acid oxidation. It blocks synapses - the junctions between neurons or between a neuron and an organ, where electrical or chemical impulses are transmitted. It also binds to neurotransmitters and causes brain symptoms. Acetaldehyde is a close molecular cousin to formaldehyde, and the two toxic substances are metabolized similarly by the body. Thus exposure to formadlehyde in carpeting, furniture or particleboard often causes candidiasis to worsen.
  • Candida seems to upset the function of organs as opposed to damaging them.

CONDITIONS THAT HAVE RESPONDED TO CANDIDA TREATMENT
